Cable Russian Twists

What is Cable Russian Twists? Cable Russian twists are a core exercise that targets the obliques, lower back, and abdominals. This exercise involves rotational movement of the torso while holding onto a cable machine, providing resistance throughout the motion.

Tutorial

  1. Attach a D-handle to the low pulley of a cable machine.
  2. Sit on the floor perpendicular to the cable machine with your knees bent and feet lifted off the ground.
  3. Grab the handle with both hands and extend your arms out in front of you.
  4. Engage your core and rotate your torso to one side, bringing the handle towards your hip.
  5. Slowly rotate back to the center and then to the other side.
  6. Repeat for the desired number of reps.

Common Mistakes

  • Using momentum to swing the cable instead of engaging the core muscles.
